This year, Black Diamond Weekend turns ten—and we’re celebrating the legacy we’ve built together with a call to service that reflects the heart of Black BRAND: collective impact. As we plan the most memorable Black Diamond Weekend yet, we’re inviting you to join the movement as a volunteer with Black BRAND.
If you’ve ever attended a Black BRAND event, you already know the energy is electric—and behind that energy are dozens of volunteers whose time, dedication, and enthusiasm make it all possible. As we prepare for this historic milestone, we’re setting a bold but beautiful goal: 50 volunteers to help power Black Diamond Weekend from setup to showtime.
Volunteer Impact: A Strong Start
On August 12, we held our monthly volunteer info session—and this one was special. It was more than just an overview—it was a hands-on experience. Volunteers gathered just ahead of the August 14 STASH Symposium to tour the event space, role-play different volunteer roles, and even help with setup in real time. The energy was high, and the feedback was even higher.
It was a perfect example of what volunteering with Black BRAND feels like: purposeful, empowering, and community centered.
That session was just one of many. We host volunteer info sessions on the second Tuesday of every month, and the next one is happening Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
