Black BRAND, Hampton Roads Regional Black Chamber of Commerce, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Experience Director to join our team. This individual will be responsible for event management, program quality assurance, and membership sales and engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute events that support the mission of Black BRAND and engage the community, including educational seminars, networking events, and fundraising activities
  • Ensure the quality of all programs and events, from conception to delivery, including logistics, marketing, and execution
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase membership sales and engagement, and ensure members receive value from their investment
  • Work closely with the finance team to develop and manage budgets for events, membership and programs
  • Analyze data and prepare reports on the performance of events, membership and programs
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all initiatives align with the mission and vision of Black BRAND, and support the growth and sustainability of the organization
  • Manage and mentor a team of employees and volunteers, and provide leadership and guidance to ensure successful outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in event management, program development, and membership engagement, with a proven track record of success
  • Ability to think strategically and develop and implement plans that drive growth and engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and analyze data
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for the mission of Black BRAND and commitment to promoting economic empowerment and success for Black-owned businesses and the Black community

Job Description: Technical Assistance Coordinator

Position Type: Contractor/1099

Technical Assistance Coordinator will be responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for business owners seeking technical assistance. The coordinator would be responsible for evaluating the business overall, assessing the technical assistance needs of the business, and facilitating an introduction to technical assistance providers.

The coordinator would also be responsible for preparing reports on the deliverables provided and the success of the technical assistance received by each business. The coordinator would work with the technical assistance providers to ensure that the services provided meet the needs of the business and that the technical assistance is delivered in a timely and effective manner.

The coordinator would also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and data, and for providing regular updates to the chamber of commerce on the progress of the technical assistance program. The coordinator would work closely with the chamber of commerce staff to ensure that the technical assistance program is aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the chamber of commerce.

The ideal candidate for this position would have a strong background in business development and technical assistance, as well as experience working with diverse business owners. The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven track record of success in program management and evaluation.
